Pranay Murder: Miryalguda Congress President Arrested
The Nalgonda police have arrested Miryalaguda Town Congress president Karim in the case of the sensational murder of Pranay, a dalit boy allegedly killed by his father-in-law.
The Nalgonda police have arrested Miryalaguda Town Congress president Karim in connection with the sensational murder of Pranay, along with Pranay's wife Amrutha's father Maruthi Rao and the latter's brother Sravan Kumar.
The police have intensified their interrogation, and are still searching for the actual murderer. They are suspecting that the murderer is from the Old City of Hyderabad.
It is learnt that Karim's friend Qasim brokered the murder. The police are suspecting that one Abdul Bhari from the Old City sent a murderer through Qasim. It is learnt that Maruthi Rao paid Rs. 10 lakhs to the murderer.
Meanwhile, the last rites of Pranay were completed on Sunday after his brother Ajay's arrival from Ukraine.

It is inhuman. No one can support the murder. To the extent I have known from the media, Father of Amrita has caused the brutal murder of his own son-in-law, the husband of Amrita. Our sympathy is with her who is now 5 month pregnant. We, as fellow citizens of the country, strongly condemn such act and the judiciary will award the deserved punishment through the prescribed legal system - which shall deter anyone else to dare such crime. I have also come across in the media such things like Amrita, the victim may be offered MLA seat or even become a Minister. I have also heard from the media that Government of Telangana is giving land, cash, job etc. to Ms Amrita. On this, following are my requests to the Government of Telangana. (i) This is a fight between two families and the criminal shall be awarded due punishment through existing judiciary system. The loss is not caused by lightening or Act of God or fury of nature/accident to deserve nor by a government any help or ex-gratia amount from Government. (ii) Further the recipient (Ms Amrita) is a well-to-do family as Pranay's father is rich enough to support her. She is educated person and can stand on her own feet too. (iii) The property of father of Amrita will be assigned appropriately by the court. (iv) If the Government feels that it has more funds to throw like this, following options may be considered: (a) There are many deaths of farmers either by suicides or by strike of lightening, an act of God. Such cases deserve the Government help more than the victim of this crime in question. b) Recent natural calamity in Kerala has caused lot of damage. Give funds there, if found in so much of excess to the requirement of the Telangana State. c) Stop this indiscriminate allocation of funds by the district revenue officials through an appropriate auditing system. (d) Though the following discussion may not be appropriate in this context, I would like to raise an apparently irrelevant question. Telangana sentiment was respected and the separate state was formed much against the wishes of many of stake holders. Happy outcome is that Telangana is developing well after separation. Andhra and Telangana when got separated, the revenue from Hyderabad should have been given to Andhra, which was not given. The improper division of revenue made Andhra, a very poor state now making Telangana a cash rich state. Give them their share, instead of throwing funds like this. Unfortunately to them, even the agreed conditions were not being followed by the ruling party at the Center. This point I have raised only because, when the Telangana State officials/Heads feel that they are undeservingly rich, then only they will throw the public funds/property like this.
