Film actor Prakash Raj, who adopted a village named Kondareddypalli in the Mahabubnagar district, said that he would endeavour for the all-round development of the village.
He was attending a meeting organized by the Kondareddypalli villagers.
Addressing them, Prakash Raj said that he had gathered information about the problems prevailing in the village. He said that he had visited every ward in the village, and had first-hand information about their problems.
He promised that the village would be developed into a model village within six months.
His first priority would be the construction of toilets in the village, he said. He asked the villagers not to waste even a drop of water, and take measures to preserve it.
Another task in the development of the village would be to make it a plastic-free area, Prakash Raj said.
Village sarpanch P Raju, deputy sarpanch Srinivas, ZPTC member Palle Narsing Rao, TDP leader Anant Kumar, former sarpanch Padmanabh Rao, ward members and village youth participated in the meeting.
