Government Chief Whip Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, on Thursday, claimed that the Prajapatham programme has been going on successfully across the state.
Talking to reporters at the state Secretariat's media point, Gandra said that people's participation in the Prajapatham programme has been encouraging. He said that people have been approaching officials and elected representatives with their problems, seeking solutions.
A majority of people have complained about drinking water problems, he said, adding that steps were being taken to solve them.
Gandra denied media reports about people not allowing the ministers and Congress MLAs into their villages. He said that such stories were being published by a few newspapers who distorted facts.
He also denied that the ministers and MLAs were moving around villages under heavy security cover, especially in the Telangana region.
He said there was nothing unusual in the security cover, and that it was being provided to all MLAs, including those belonging to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. (INN)
