The fourth Telangana Formation Day celebrations were conducted across the state's districts on a grand scale.
While Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao addressed the main event at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad, the various ministers attended the formation day celebration events in the districts.
At Warangal, Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari greeted the people to mark the occasion, and eulogized the government and the CM. He claimed that the entire nation and even the whole world were marvelling Telangana's speedy growth and accelerated development.
At Siricilla Rajanna district, IT and Municipal Minister K T Rama Rao said that the youngest state of the country was number one in several sectors including ease of doing business, economic growth, GSDP, IT, health and education. Despite many hurdles the state had achieved several goals, he claimed.
At Siddipet, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said that the Telangana was on its way to becoming a "golden state". CM KCR was making all possible efforts for inclusive growth and overall development, he said.
In Mahabubnagar district Health Minister Dr C Lakshma Reddy said that the new state had achieved several goals. He said that KCR was introducing unique schemes for farmers, students and the poor. Health, irrigation, education and industry were getting top priority, and Rythu Bandhu was helping farmers by giving them Rs 8,000 per acre a year.
At Nirmal, Housing and Endowments Minister Indrakaran Reddy said that the CM had launched many schemes and programs for the welfare of the poor and the farmers. Rythu Bandhu was giving positive results and the farmers would also get Rs 5 lakhs' worth insurance from August, he said. The double-bedroom scheme, 24-hour free power to the farm sector, and better facilities in schools and hospitals were helping the poor like never before, he claimed.
