AICC secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, on Tuesday, dismissed the remarks of Gujarat Power minister Sourabh Bhai Patel, who commented on Andhra Pradesh's power crisis.
Talking to media persons at the Assembly premises, the in-charge of Gujarat state Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy condemned Saurab Bhai Patel's statements, and asked him to first explain how many hours of free power the Gujarat government was supplying to farmers and the poor.
Alleging that the Gujarat government was not even supplying 5-6 hours of power to farmers, he accused Gujarat chief minister Nadendra Modi of supplying power only to those who benefit him.
He challenged BJP leaders to an open discussion on the state's power situation, and the supply of power to farmers in both the states.
"I'm ready to take a delegation of BJP to Gujarat to prove my statement on the power supply position," he said.
Responding to a question on the recent police raid on Telangana Bhavan, he said that he has already lodged a complaint with the Director General of Police, seeking action against it. He said that he had appealed to the DGP to act tough against anti-social elements. (INN)
