Police, TJAC Face Off Over Telangana Sadak Bandh

A face off between the police at Telangana activists is on the cards, with the police refusing to grant permission for the Sadak Bandh and the TJAC convener insisting that the programme will be held on 21 March.

Special orders have been imposed from tomorrow till 22 March, Mahboobnagar police superintendent Nagendra Kumar said. "We will arrest all the leaders who come for the Sadak Bandh," he added.

On the other hand, JAC convenor Prof Kodandaram said that they will organize the Sadak Bandh under any circumstance. "We would have deferred the programme had the government tabled a resolution in the Assembly on Telangana," he said. (INN
