Police Keeping Close Watch On Maoist Movement: DGP
Mahender Reddy said that steps were being taken to prevent the entry of Maoists from neighbouring States, and that a close watch was being kept on the Maoists' movements.
Telangana Director General of Police M Mahender Reddy today said that the police department was taking all possible steps to control the activities of the Maoists and to improve the law and order situation in the State.
Reddy was speaking after visiting a basecamp in a dense forest 25 km from the Venkatapur mandal headquarters in Mulugu district, and reviewing the law and order situation in the district.
Speaking to reporters on the occasion, the DGP said that steps were being taken to prevent the entry of Maoists from neighbouring States into Telangana, and that the police were keeping a close watch on the Maoists' movements.
"The State can be developed only when the best law and order is in place. Investors come forward and show interest in setting up industrial units only when a serene atmosphere prevails in any State," Reddy explained.
He said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was giving top priority to maintaining the law and order situation in Telangana, and was fulfilling the requirements of the police force to create the best policing system in Telangana.
