The debate on the No Confidence Motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government turned into a war of words match between the TDP and the TRS, with the Polavaram tenders being the bone of contention.
Initiating the debate, leader of Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu launched a scathing attack on the ruling party, and said the Polavaram contracts are a testimony of the Congress' corruption. He also hinted that there was a secret understanding between the TRS and the government.
Taking objection to the remarks, TRS MLA K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) said that his party is prepared for any debate on the Polavaram issue. He charged Naidu with taking refuge on flimsy issues to cover up his ongoing legal battles. (INN)
