PM Lays Stones For, Dedicates, Projects Worth 8,000 Cr In Nizamabad
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid foundation stones for and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore, in Nizamabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid foundation stones for and dedicated to the nation multiple development projects worth over Rs 8,000 crore in important sectors including power, railways and health in Nizamabad.
These included the dedication of the 800 MW unit of Phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project of the NTPC; rail projects including the new railway line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet; and the project to electrify the Dharmabad - Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar - Kurnool railway lines.
He also laid the foundation stones for 20 Critical Care Blocks (CCBs) across the state under the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
Modi also flagged off the Siddipet - Secunderabad train service.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister congratulated the people of Telangana for the projects.
Speaking about the NTPC project, he emphasized that the second unit would also be operational very soon, and that upon its completion the installed capacity of the power plant would rise to 4,000 MW. He also said that the Telangana Super Thermal Power Plant was the most modern of all the NTPC power plants in the country.
"The major part of the electricity produced in this power plant will go to the people of Telangana," the Prime Minister said.
He also recalled laying the foundation stone of this project in 2016, and emphasized the central government's track record in completing the projects whose foundation stones were laid. "This is the work culture of our government," he claimed.
Speaking on the Dharmabad - Manoharabad and Mahbubnagar - Kurnool electrification projects, the Prime Minister said that that would increase the connectivity in the State as also boost the average speed of the trains on those tracks.
He also said that the new rail link between Manoharabad and Siddipet would give a push to business and industry. He recalled laying the foundation stone of that project too in 2016.
Modi said that under the PM Ayushman Bharat Infrastructure Mission high quality healthcare infrastructure is being ensured in every district, and it was as part of that that today the foundation stone for 20 critical care blocks had been laid in Telangana. He said that the blocks will be built in such a way that they would have complete arrangements for dedicated isolation wards, oxygen supply, and infection prevention and control.
"More than 5,000 Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Centres are already functional in Telangana," he added. He also said that during the Covid pandemic 50 large PSA oxygen plants had been established in Telangana, which played a significant role in saving precious lives.
Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and union minister G Kishan Reddy were present on the occasion.
