Justice Ramesh Ranganathan of AP High Court on Tuesday admitted a writ petition, challenging the action of police in giving a clean chit to Brother Anil Kumar, son-in-law of former Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, in a case pertaining to alleged distribution of money, and appealing for votes in the name of religion before the 2009 elections at Karimnagar.
He said that a case was registered, and a charge-sheet had been filed showing Brother Anil Kumar as Accused Number 1.
The police conducted further investigation and filed a second charge-sheet giving a clean chit to Anil Kumar.
He complained that this was done without notice to him, and sought a direction for an enquiry by C.B.C.I.D.
The Judge admitted the case ordered personal notice and posted the matter to November 19.
