Telangana Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today urged the rural populace of the state to ensure the success of the government's various village development program by participating in them wholeheartedly.
The minister, who had been participating in some development programs in a rural area in Wanaparthy, later visited a village nearby, and interacted with the residents to gain insight into their problems.
Speaking to them, he said, "The government's schemes will be successful only if the people participate in them wholeheartedly. You must all support the schemes to ensure their successful implementation. We are conducting the Haritha Haram greening project to ensure a clean environment in the state's rural areas, and have also introduced the Palle Pragati program to improve the quality of rural life. However, none of these efforts will amount to much without the support of the rural people. I urge you to bolster our efforts with your support."
The ministers of the state have recently done much to highlight the importance of participatory development. Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao had visited Makhrake village in Adilabad district some days ago where he had
urged the farmers of the state to adopt the practice of vermiculture.
