In an impressive passing-out parade, 12 Gentlemen Cadets of the 21st course of the Technical Entry Scheme passed out of the Cadets Training Wing of MCEME.
Lt. Gen. K Surendra Nath, GOC-in-C, Army Training Command, Colonel of the Mechanised Regiment, reviewed the scintillating parade on Saturday morning, which was witnessed by an august gathering. The gathering included Lt. Gen. S M Mehta, Commandant, MCEME, and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of EME, senior officers of the Indian Army, and proud parents of the Gentlemen Cadets of the passing-out course.
Lt. Gen. K Surendra Nath, in his address to the Gentlemen Cadets, exhorted them to "uphold the glorious traditions and ethos of the Indian Army".
He emphasized on maintaining professional competence, physical and moral courage, and toughness throughout their career.
The reviewing officer also complimented the Gentlemen Cadets for their "immaculate turnout" and "flawless standard of drill" during the parade.
These Gentlemen Cadets passed out today after undergoing 4 years of rigorous military training, coupled with an engineering degree.
The parade was commanded by Wing Cadet Captain Salil Sharma.
A total of 170 Gentlemen Cadets participated in the parade, including the 12 Gentlemen Cadets of the passing-out course.
The coveted GOC-in-C, ARTRAC Gold Medal, for standing first in the overall order of merit was awarded to WCC Salil Sharma, the Silver Medal to PCC Gurinderjit Singh, and the Bronze Medal to WCQM Ajay Yadav.
The GOC-in-C, ARTRAC banner, for the champion platoon was presented by the Reviewing Officer to the Shivaji platoon. (INN)
