No Reason For No Trust Vote: Danam Nagender

Labour Minister Danam Nagender on Thursday expressed confidence that the Congress government would defeat the no confidence motion tabled by the opposition parties.

Talking to reporters at the Assembly's media point, Nagender said that the opposition parties moved the no confidence vote only to draw the media's attention. Admitting that the state was reeling under a sever power crisis, he expressed assurance that serious steps were being taken by the government to overcome the crisis. He said the opposition parties had no valid reason to move a no trust vote.

Denying any secret pact with the Telugu Desam party, he said that the other opposition parties had "fallen into the trap they laid for the Congress government". (INN)
