A contingent of all-party leaders was addressing a meeting at Srirampur in Nannur mandal of Mancherial district a day before Singareni Collieries employees' union elections.
Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy and Congress working president Bhatti Vikramarka said that the Chief Minister was trying to deceive the mine workers by doling out some temporary sops keeping in view the elections. They asked to know why the Chief Minister was not providing employment to dependants of Singareni workers when he could offer political posts to all his family members.
They also alleged that the ruling party was distributing Rs 150 crores from the commissions collected in buying Bathukamma saris in the Singareni elections.
Revanth Reddy said that KCR, who had never paid tributes to the Telangana martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for statehood for Telangana, had visited Anantapur and paid floral tributes to Paritala Ravi. It was an affront to the Telangana martyrs, he fumed.
Former MLC Premsagar Rao, former MLA Gaddam Arvind Reddy, AITUC president Narasimhan, AITUC general secretary Vasireddy Sitharamaiah, INTUC general secretary Janak Prasad and others participated in the meeting.
