One more person has been reported as infected by the novel coronavirus in Andhra Pradesh.
According to a health bulletin released by the state health department, a man from Vishakhapatnam tested positive for the virus.
Principal Secretary of Health K S Jawahar Reddy said that the man had recently been in Birmingham in England. He arrived in Visakhapatnam on March 17 and was admitted to a hospital on March 21.
With this, the total number of positive cases in the state for the virus has hit 12.
The AP health officials have identified a total of 28,028 people coming from abroad, of whom 27,929 have been put under home isolation. Some 385 samples have been sent for medical examination, and 55 samples are yet to be sent.
Reddy said that of the 385, 317 persons had tested negative and 12 had tested positive for the virus until now.
As per the latest reports, the total number of positive cases across the country has crossed 730.
