The body of a woman was found buried in a plaster wall of a house in Kanchanapalem village of Visakha district, a week after the murder occured. The woman was identified to be Arramma, an elderly fisherwoman who also gave out loans to people.
The residents of the neighbourhood discovered the body when their suspicions were aroused by an unbearable stench emanating from the house, which had been empty for over a week. They reportedly broke the wall down and found a decomposing body wrapped in plastic.
Friends of Arramma feel that the murderers could only have been some people she had loaned money to, who had probably murdered her when she demanded that they give her back the money.
The police are currently investigating the case, and are on the lookout for the previous residents of the house in which Arramma's body was found.
