Telangana Political JAC chairman M Kodandaram today urged the youth to join Chalo Hyderabad rally demanding more job opportunities in the public sector.
Speaking after inaugurating its Hyderabad unit, Kodandaram said, "We are preparing to make Chalo Hyderabad rally successful."
The rally will be take up from Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram to Indira Park on February 22.
The TJAC chairman also said, "We are not making new demands but only reminding the Telangana government of those that it had promised back in 2014. About 1.07 lakh posts are vacant in various departments. But so far, the government recruited 5,000 candidates. We are demanding that the State Government release new employment notifications for unemployed youth who do not have the means to pursue beyond high school, and create self-employment programs as well. We also demand providing reservations in private sector and encourage small-scale industries that can create employment for Intermediate, ITI, and Polytechnic students."
Later, a few students met Kodandaram and pledged their support to the rally. The protest march is likely to attract more participants.
