Notorious Rowdy Khaja Fareeduddin Held Under PD Act
The Hyderabad police have invoked the PD Act on Khaja Fareeduddin Quadri, a rowdy element operating in the Nampally police station limits.

City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, IPS, has invoked the PD Act on Khaja Fareeduddin alias Khaja Fareeduddin Quadri alias Syed Fareed, a rowdy element operating in the Nampally police station limits.
The Nampally police served the detention order on Fareeduddin and lodged him in the Chanchalguda central jail.
Fareeduddin is the 1,084th detenu arrested under the PD Act by the Commissioner of Police.
According to the police, Fareeduddin, 22, son of Khaja Nayeemuddin, residing at H No 10-2-54/A/13, Lakshminagar, A-Battery Line, Nampally, is a notorious criminal involved in dacoity, robberies, chain snatchings and bodily offences under the limits of various police stations in Hyderabad.
The Commissioner said that Fareeduddin had struck fear in the minds of the common public and was involved in 10 cases (one dacoity, one robbery, four chain snatchings, one extortion, one attempt to murder and two of criminal intimidation in public places) reported in the Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerates. Besides, the accused also received stolen property - three gold chains pertaining to two robbery cases (one under the Mahankali PS and one under the Gandhinagar PS).
The Commissioner said that the accused not only committed property offences but also bodily offences. On February 11 of this year, he attempted to murder one Shaik Amiar by stabbing him with a knife when the latter requested him to return an amount of Rs 5,000 which the former had borrowed. Fareeduddin also threatened to murder two persons alleging that they were responsible for passing on information to the police about his illegal activities. On March 19, 2018, the accused waylaid a Mohammed Rizwan and snatched his Santro.
