The Managing Director of the TSRTC V C Sajjanar today asserted that the corporation was not forcing any of its employees to opt for VRS (Voluntary Retirement Scheme), and that anyone who was applying was doing so voluntarily.
Speaking to media persons in the city, he said that around 2,000 employees of the corporation had applied for the VRS so far, and that the corporation would prepare a package based on the number of the employees opting for the scheme.
He also said that the corporation would take up fresh recruitment after finalising the VRS.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the corporation Bajireddy Govardhan along with the MD flagged off mini-buses of the corporation at Uppal.
The buses will operate between the city and the Yadadri temple.
The ticket prices of the mini bus service have been kept at Rs. 100 from JBS and Rs. 75 from Uppal.
