Not A Drop Of Kaleshwaram Water Used: Congress

Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy alleged that not a single drop of water had been brought into use so far from the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project.
Hyderabad | 13th September 2019
Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy on Friday alleged that not a single drop of water had been brought into use so far from the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project.

He also alleged that although there was water available to send to the upstream areas, it was being released into the sea, and that 45 TMC of water had been wasted so far by the "callous" attitude of the State government.

Reddy also said that there were no figures with the State government about the availability of water and how to use it, and that the officials of the project were saying that they were not able to take any decision due to a lack of orders from the government.

He also ridiculed the ruling TRS leaders for blaming the Kaleswaram project for the acute shortage of urea in the State.
