Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka today reiterated that there was no shortage of power and water supply for industrial units in Telangana.
Addressing the 73rd Pharma Congress held at Hitex, the Deputy CM said that the State government was bringing a new power policy soon aimed at promoting green energy and making Telangana a surplus power State.
He said that steps were being taken to ensure green energy and surplus power availability in Telangana, and that it was the government's responsibility to ensure that no industry faced any problem in the State.
Bhatti also said that about 35% of the pharma products exported from India were from Telangana, and that that was a matter of pride for the State.
"The reputation of Telangana has spread globally due to generic medicines being produced with the highest quality and at low prices here. Hyderabad is famous for biryani and now it is famous for bio pharma products as well," he said.
Bhatti said that the State government was fully supporting the pharma industry, and was available to the industry representatives 24 hours a day.
He also said that the State government was planning to set up pharma clusters between the ORR and the RRR, aimed at encouraging the industry in a big way.
Minister for Industries D Sridhar Babu and Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy were also present in the program.
