The Telangana Government has no plans to supply 9 hours' power to the agriculture sector in the State.
This was stated by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao while replying to a query raised by MLA S Vankata Veeraiah and others during the Question Hour in the State Legislative Assembly.
He also said that there was no proposal with the government to abolish the surcharge on pumpsets, as only customer charges were being collected at the rate of Rs 30 per month.
As per the category-wise details of power connections furnished by the Chief Minister, there are 84,16,407 Domestic LT; 10,19,750 Non-Domestic/Commercial LT; 84,378 LT Industrial; 8,894 Cottage Industries and 19,32,163 Agriculture LT connections in the State. (INN)
