No Fund Shortage For Vijayawada Metro Project: Naidu

Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu said that he had asked E Sridharan and team to complete the first phase of the Vijayawada metro rail works by August 2018.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today said that there was no dearth of funds for the implementation of the Vijayawada metro rail project.

Naidu reviewed the Vijayawada and Vizag metro train projects with "Metro Man" E Sridharan and other concerned officials today. They discussed in detail the proposed Vijayawada metro rail works.

The Chief Minister said that he had asked Sridharan and his team to complete the first phase of the Vijayawada metro rail works by August 2018.

There was no dearth of funds as JAIKA would help in financing the project, Naidu said.

Naidu urged Sridharan to take measures to review the Vijayawada metro rail project works every month.

He also wanted completion of the Visakhapatnam metro rail's first phase works by December 2018.
