No Inflammable Articles Allowed: SCR
Carrying inflammable and explosive articles on Railways is a punishable offence, with a punishment of upto 3 years in jail or a fine of upto Rs. 1,000 or both.

In view of Diwali, the South Central Railway has appealed to all its passengers not to carry inflammable substances or firecrackers in trains or in the Railways' premises.
The SCR said that carrying of such items in trains or in stations poses a grave safety threat, and that it can create a highly unsafe situation for all the passengers around.
Any unintentional pressure applied on fire crackers or a small spark can lead to a big mishap with dire consequences, it warned.
Rail users have been requested to not carry with them as luggage/parcel any inflammable articles - including gas cylinders, petrol, diesel, kerosene, stoves, lanterns, matchboxes, cigarette lighters, detonating substances and fire crackers.
As per section 67, 154, 164 and 165 of the Railways Act 1989, carrying inflammable and explosive articles on Railways is a punishable offence, with a punishment of upto 3 years in jail or a fine of upto Rs. 1,000 or both. Offenders are also liable for the loss/injury or damage caused.
In the interest of public safety and security, the SCR has appealed to passengers to be alert on the matter.
Passersby have been requested to inform the nearest Railway official in case someone is found carrying fire crackers or other dangerous substances. (INN)
