1 Held For Illegal Fireworks Storage
The city police has appealed to the general public to report illegal storage points of fire crackers in residential localities without valid permission or a license.
The city police seized a huge quantity of fire crackers that were illegally stored in a house at Rikabgunj in Hyderabad on Saturday.
According to the police, the North and South Zone teams of the Commissioner's Task Force, conducted a raid on Friday on the house of Dilip Kumar Agarwal at Rikabgunj.
The seized fire crackers were worth Rs. 5 lakh.
Police say that the accused, Dilip Kumar Agarwal, had obtained a license to erect his stall at the Quli Qutub Shah Stadium.
In order to make money, he procured a huge quantity of fire-crackers although he was accorded a license only for a limited quantity.
Further, violating rules, he stored a huge stock at his residence, posing a serious threat to the residential area in which he lives.
