NDRF Readies For Cyclone Hudhud
The National Disaster Response Force has dispatched 39 teams comprising 1,573 personnel and relief equipment, to various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is fully prepared to meet any emergency in the wake of the looming cyclonic storm Hudhud.
The NDRF has dispatched 39 teams comprising of 1,573 personnel with 193 boats and other rescue and relief equipment, to various parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.
18 teams of the NDRF have been deployed in various vulnerable parts of Andhra Pradesh - 4 teams in Vishakhapatnam, 4 teams in East Godavari, 2 teams in Srikakulam and 1 team each in Vijaynagaram & Vishakhapatnam. 6 teams have been kept as reserve at the NDRF base in Guntur.
Another 20 teams of the NDRF have been deployed in various vulnerable parts of Odisha. Teams have been stationed at Koraput, Malkangiri and Kandhmal, and 1 team each has been deployed at Gajapati, Kandmal,Puri, Balasore (Khurda), Bhuwaneshwar, Bhadrak, Mundali, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapada as a precautionary measure to mitigate the damage inflicted by the storm.
3 teams have been deployed at the Chatarpur, Aska and Behrampur areas of Ganjam. 4 teams have been kept as reserve at the NDRF base in Mundali.
The NDRF control room is monitoring the situation arising due to the cyclonic storm, and is in touch with other agencies to provide immediate help for rescue and relief in case of any emergencies. (INN)
