A militant struggle is the only way to achieve separate statehood for Telangana, said reclusive boss of the Maoists in AP, Katakam Sudarshan alias Anand.
In an interview to Telugu news channel ABN Andhra Jyothi, he showered praise on Osmania and Kakatiya University students for their aggression and militant protests, and said that both these universities had a proud track record in that kind of approach. He exhorted them to resort to those means for their goal.
Fully supporting separate statehood for Telangana, he said that the divided parts would both prosper much better if the state was broken. He enjoined the protestors to keep up with the militant struggle, saying that the Congress has a history of buying and wasting time and putting the issue on the back-burner, and could not be trusted. He had similar sentiments for TDP's Naidu, too, who he said will never be forgiven for betraying the people of Telangana.
In the interview guaranteed to warm the cockles of the Telangana people and any potential future rulers of a potential separate state, he also said that Hyderabad was a part of Telangana. He said that all "ordinary" people of Rayalaseema and Andhra who are living in Hyderabad would be safe, and only the "robber-capitalists" would need to be cautious.
It is strongly believed in government circles that a separate Telangana will be easy prey for the Naxalites, much like Chattisgarh.
