Naidu Pushes For Cashless AP, Addresses Note Ban
The AP CM addressed the problems being faced by the people post-demonetisation, and pushed for a cashless economy.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today held a teleconference with top officials of the State on the problems being faced by the people, including failed bank transactions, post-demonetisation.
The AP CM held the conference with senior officials, district collectors and officials of different banks, from his official residence at Undavalli. While underlining the need for government interference in the banking system, the Chief Minister said that bankers should not see the interference as a pressure tactic.
The AP government was encouraging cashless transactions in the State, and AP was the first state in the nation which started implementing online Mee Seva, e-pass and other online government services years ago, he said.
Referring to cashless transactions, the Chief Minister suggested 5,500 business correspondents and 29,000 ration dealers in the State work together to implement cash-free facilities, the work load on banks would be reduced. Presently, the State government was distributing essential commodities through fair price shops using e-pass mission.
Naidu emphasized the need for more cashless transactions after December 1. There was a need to promote the benefits of cashless transactions, more.
