Alleging that Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu is getting more desperate with each passing day, AICC secretary Ponguleti Sudhakar on Saturday said that the former chief minister is 'flogging 'dead horses'.
Ponguleti said that the former chief minister was raising the Babli Irrigation Project and the irregularities in TTD issues since he had nothing substantial to target the government with.
The AICC secretary described the padayatra undertaken by the TDP chief as a 'tamasha'. He said that the real reason behind the padayatra was Naidu's personal vendetta against TTD Chairman Adikesavulu Naidu.
Ponguleti also said that the state High Court has already ordered an inquiry into the irregularities in the TTD, and that raking up the issue at a time when the inquiry was in progress is wrong.
The AICC secretary appealed to the CM not to spare anyone found guilty of any wrongdoing after the inquiry in TTD affairs is completed.
The TDP chief had started the padayatra from Tirupati to the hill shrine of Lord Venkateshwara at 10am on Saturday, with the stated aim of highlighting the irregularities in the management of TTD affairs.
