Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukender Reddy on Sunday demanded that the Centre convene a meeting of all concerned States to resolve the Polavaram Project issue.
Speaking to media persons, Gutha said that the Centre should act like the head of the family to resolve contentious issues among different States.
Accusing the BJP-led NDA government of showing favouritism towards Andhra Pradesh on the Polavaram Project issue, he said that the Centre should convene a meeting between Telangana, AP, Odisha and Chattisgarh to find an amicable solution.
Gutha said that the Congress party was not against the Polavaram Project. However, he said that the Congress had no role in the controversial Bill which facilitated the merger of seven mandals of Khammam into Seemandhra. (INN)
