Baby Girl Stolen From Niloufer

The parents had arrived with the baby, from Godavari Khani in Karimnagar with the girl, for treatment.
Hyderabad | 17th August 2010
A month-old baby girl was found missing from Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad, on Tuesday morning.

According to the baby's mother Lakshmi, the baby went missing at around 3:30am.

Lakshmi said that she and her husband Kumar had arrived from Godavari Khani in Karimnagar with the girl, for treatment, on August 7.

She was undergoing treatment at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital, as her health was not stable ever since she was born a month ago. Lakshmi had slept with the baby outside the NICU, from where it went missing.

Lakshmi alerted her husband Kumar who joined her in the search for the missing baby.

Kumar filed a complaint with Nampally police, who have launched a manhunt to trace the missing baby.
