The Telangana irrigation minister narrowly avoided injury when vehicles in his convoy were involved in a collision near Garidepalli in Nalgonda district.
Telangana Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy today narrowly avoided injury when vehicles in his convoy were involved in a collision near Garidepalli in Nalgonda district.
Images and videos of the incident have since been circulating widely on the social media.
The incident occurred while the minister was en route to attend the Janpahad Urs festival.
A series of minor collisions within the convoy left around 15 vehicles with damages to their front sections. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all those involved breathed sighs of relief.
Initial reports suggest that the accident may have been caused by the high speed of the convoy and the enthusiasm of the supporters along the route.
Roads & Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy contacted the Irrigation Minister following the mishap to check on his well-being. Uttam Kumar Reddy assured Venkat Reddy and the public that he was unharmed and that there was no reason for concern.
