Extending solidarity with Telangana Joint Action Committee's M Kodandaram for fighting for the cause of the people, farmers and youth in Telangana, noted social activist Medha Patkar today said that she would soon hold a meeting to unite the various Telangana movement organizations and people's associations.
Patkar was visiting the TJAC office, and extended support to its chief Kodandaram.
She told the meeting that she would focus on preparing a plan of action for fighting for the Telangana people. She slammed the TRS government for suppressing the proposed rally by the unemployed that the TJAC had been working on. The state government was adopting dictatorial methods to stifle the voices of the people's associations, she charged.
She also criticized the government "forcibly taking lands" from the people in the name of constructing irrigation projects.
