Yakutpura constituency MBT candidate Majeedullah Khan Farhat also asked them to donate all their properties to the poor, to prove their dedication.
MBT candidate from the Yakutpura Assembly constituency Majeedullah Khan Farhat challenged MIM President Asaduddin Owaisi, and his brother, the Chandrayanagutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, for an open debate on the development in the Old City.
Addressing massive road shows in the Yakutpura constituency on Wednesday, Farhat Khan alleged that the Owaisi brothers and other MIM MLAs completely ignored development in the Old City, especially in Yakutpura.
He said that he was ready for an open debate on the issue with the MIM leadership, on their own mouthpiece, 4TV channel. Further, he challenged the Owaisi brothers and Yakutpura MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, to come to the Mecca Masjid for Friday prayers and announce that they would endow all their properties and assets to the community, to prove their dedication to the people.
Farhat Khan said he was ready to give everything that he owns to the public.
During the road show, Farhat Khan addressed huge gatherings at Dargah Hazarth Barhane-e-Shah (RA), Owaisi Colony, Band Naka, Dargah Hazarath Shujauddin (RA), Ramchandra Nagar, Khateeja Colony, Moulana Azad Nagar, Sri Nagar Colony, Madannapet Mandi, Old Eigah, GHMC Colony, Darab Jung Colony, Bama Bakhtavar Hat, Qalender Nagar, Santosh Nagar and Rein Bazar. Thousands of people participated in the show despite scorching heat.
Addressing the gatherings, Farhat Khan promised that he would start schools at every polling booth level to impart free education to the poor masses. He also promised elimination of rowdism, illegal money lenders and other social evils which made the lives of the poor and the middle-class people miserable.
"Mumtaz Khan did not speak about Yakutpura or other public issues in the Assembly even for 20 minutes in the last 20 years. He multiplied his assets in the last 2 decades and became one of the richest MLAs of Andhra Pradesh, while the poor people of Yakutpura remained poor," Farhat Khan said, adding that the MIM wants to continue its dominance through the politics of goondaism and intimidation.
An unholy nexus of corporators, MLAs, the MP and contractors had been formed, and this mafia worked with such brutality that people were afraid of filing RTI applications to know the status of works executed in Yakutpura, he alleged.
Farhat Khan also alleged that Mumtaz Khan, in connivance with officials, raised fake bills and illegally earned crores of rupees. The developmental works remained on paper while this political mafia swindled hundreds of crores meant for the people's welfare, he said.
The MBT leader alleged that Mumtaz Khan and his men had encroached upon several lands belonging to the government and private individuals.
"Mumtaz Khan grabbed a prime government land of nearly 25,000 sq yards in Survey No 56, Santosh Nagar, Madannapet. As per records, the land which houses Mumtaz Colony is a notified government land. Similarly, Mumtaz Khan is also involved in the illegal encroachment of a land near Durreshewar Hospital. It was an evacuee property which was allotted to Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority for the construction of a mini-stadium. However, Mumtaz Khan encroached upon the land worth Rs. 50 crores," he alleged.
Mumtaz Khan and his men were also involved in the illegal encroachment and sale of lands belonging to many government schools in the Old City - City Girls High School at Alijah Kotla, Moghalpura Urdu Medium opposite Charminar TB Hospital, Darul Yatama School besides Rein Bazar PS, Darichay Mata School in Mata-ki-Khidki and City Government Upper Primary School in Chavni Nadi Ali Baig.
Demanding a high-level probe into the land-grabbing activities of Mumtaz Khan, the MBT leader said that he was ready to provide documentary evidence to prove his allegations.
Farhat Khan said that a detailed enquiry into the illegal assets accumulated by Mumtaz Khan in the last 2 decades would reveal that land-grabbing was his main source of income.
He requested the people of the Yakutpura constituency to vote for the MBT through its television symbol to protect their lives and properties from the land-grabbers, to end the horrible tale of atrocities and begin a new era of development, and to teach Mumtaz Khan a fitting lesson. (INN)
