Ganesh Immersion Routes Inspected
GHMC Mayor Banda Chandra Karthika Reddy takes a stock of security arrangements before Ganesh Immersion.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Mayor Banda Chandra Karthika Reddy, along with Commissioner Sameer Sharma, on Tuesday, inspected areas deemed as sensitive through which the Ganesh Immersion procession will pass on Wednesday.
After conducting the inspection tour, Karthika Reddy told media persons at Tank Bund that the procession would commence after the annual auction of the famed Balapur laddu at around 8am. The procession would then move towards the Engine Bowli, Syed Ali Chabutra, Lal Darwaza, Shah Ali Banda, Charminar, Afzaljung, Maozzam Jahi market and finally culminate at the Hussain Sagar Lake.
The Mayor further said that GHMC had arranged 3 emergency control rooms in the Central Zone, the South Zone and the North Zone, and that these Control Rooms would be monitored with the main Control Room in the GHMC head office. She added that medical camps would be arranged at Necklace Road and Tank Bund.
Reddy added that mobile toilets would be arranged at Tank Bund, Necklace Road, Saroornagar, Charminar and other parts of the city, for the convenience of the public.
GHMC Mayor requested Ganesh Mandap organizers to take precautions that there was no contamination of 'Prasadams' that will be distributed among a large number of people.
TDP floor leader Singireddy Srinivas Reddy, BJP floor leader Bangari Prakash, Standing Committee members, Additional Commissioner for Medical and Sanitation Hari Vardhan Reddy and GHMC chief engineer R Dhan Singh took part in the program.
