Marri Shashidhar Reddy Joins BJP
Senior politician Marri Shashidhar Reddy, who quit from the Congress, today formally joined the BJP in New Delhi.

Senior politician Marri Shashidhar Reddy, who quit from the Congress, today formally joined the BJP in New Delhi.
Union minister Sarbananda Sonoval welcomed Reddy into the party in the presence of another union minister G Kishan Reddy, Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Laxman, and BJP leaders D K Aruna, G Vivek Venkatswamy and others.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashidhar Reddy said that that the dreams of the people of Telangana to have a good government were not fulfilled under the TRS' rule, and that the BJP alone could oust the TRS.
He said that he had joined the BJP as he was convinced that the country could prosper only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that he was happy to join the BJP, and that he was ready to sacrifice his life to strengthen the party in the State.
Targeting the Congress, Reddy said that the party had failed to be an effective opposition party in the State in the last eight-and-a-half years.
Kishan Reddy said that Shashidhar Reddy joining the BJP would strengthen the party. Bandi Sanjay Kumar too welcomed Shashidhar Reddy into the party, and said that the rest of the party would work with the senior leader to strengthen it in Telangana.
