Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said that she was conducting the Mahila Darbar programs to address the grievances of the women of the State.
The Governor held the weekly Mahila Darbar at Raj Bhavan today and received various complaints from women.
Speaking on the occasion, Soundararajan said that the purpose of the Mahila Darbars was to understand the problems of women and resolve their grievances as early as possible with the help of the State administration.
She said that women were approaching the Raj Bhavan seeking resolutions to their problems, and that it was her duty to listen to their grievances.
National Women Commission Chairperson Rekha Sharma was also present in today's Mahila Darbar. Speaking on the occasion, Sharma asked the women who were seeking justice to approach the police stations in their respective areas and lodge complaints fearlessly.
"If women are denied justice by the police, then they should approach the State Women's Commission where justice will be delivered without fail," Sharma said.
