Telugu film actor Mahesh Babu reacted positively to Telangana IT and Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao's request to him to visit the Sushila Narayana Reddy School in Kamareddy district.
The school at Bibipet in Kamareddy district was rebuilt by industrialist Subhash Reddy at a cost of Rs 6 crore. He was a student of the school, and seeing the bad condition that it was in, he renovated it with modern facilities, in memory of his late parents Sushila and Narayan Reddy.
While inaugurating the school recently along with Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy and others, Rao praised Reddy for the effort. KTR also revealed that the school was built upon inspiration from the film
Srimanthudu. And when Sabitha Reddy said that the school would be upgraded to a junior college, Rao said that he would bring the actor to that event.
Reacting on Twitter, Mahesh Babu praised the effort by Subhash Reddy. He said that he was incredibly humbled by Reddy, and that the country needed more people like him. Babu also said that he was moved beyond words that Srimanthudu was the inspiration behind the school, and that he would soon visit the school with the Srimanthudu team.
Those who attended the program were Sabitha Indra Reddy, Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy, whip Gongidi Sunitha, MLAs Gampa Goverdhan and Surender, and others.
Sabitha Reddy had laid the foundation for this school on October 30 of last year. The government has reportedly issued orders renaming the school to Sushila Narayana Reddy School.
