Lasya Nandita's Sister To Contest For Secunderabad Cantonment Seat

Late BRS MLA Lasya Nandita's sister Lasya Nivedita today said that she would contest the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly constituency seat by-election.

She disclosed this in a media conference organized after a meeting with the party activists and fans.

Speaking on the occasion, she said that she had taken the decision to contest only after the demands of party workers and people of the Cantonment.

She expressed hope that the people of the Cantonment would bless her just like they did her father Sayanna and sister Nandita.

She said that she would soon announce her future activities with BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao.

For the uninitiated, the erstwhile Cantonment MLA Lasya Nandita, died in a road accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) in Hyderabad on February 23, while in office. The Election Commission will conduct the by-election for the Cantonment seat along with the Lok Sabha elections.

As Nandita's sister has come forward to contest in the by-election, it appears certain that the BRS will give her the ticket.
