The last rites of Araku MLA Kidari Sarveshwara Rao and former MLA Siveri Soma were performed today.
The post-mortems of the two bodies were completed on Monday morning at a Paderu hospital, and the body of Kidari was then shifted to Paderu, and that of Soma to Battivalasa village near Araku. The rites were then held with official formalities, and in the presence of ministers.
The rites were held after the last visits of party activists and people to the mortal remains of the slain leaders. Party activists and followers participated in the last rites of Kidari in Paderu despite heavy rain.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chinarajappa and some ministers of the state participated in the last rites of Kidari, and some other ministers witnessed Siveri's final rites.
The MLA and ex-MLA were shot down by Naxalites on Sunday in the Vizag Agency Area.
