The Congress received yet another shock with its Rangareddy district President Kyama Mallesh bidding goodbye to the party and his post today.
Mallesh announced his resignation to the media, and said that he would join the TRS.
He alleged that TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy had indulged in selling the party tickets. Some brokers of the TPCC president executed the latter's instructions on selling tickets, he said. He also asked why two tickets were given to Reddy.
Mallesh also said that Reddy was "shamelessly" asking people to vote for BSP candidate Malreddy Rangareddy, who was suspended from the Congress. He said that he would campaign against Uttam Kumar Reddy in Huzurnagar and Kodad.
Mallesh also claimed that injustice was done to the Yadava community in the Congress. The TRS government had however strived for the welfare of the Yadava community, he said.
Mallesh said he would join the TRS during KCR's meeting at Ibrahimpatnam today.
