Telangana Minister for IT and Industries K T Rama Rao appreciated the students of the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) at Basara in Nirmal district for express their resentment against the "poor facilities" in the campus in a non-violent manner.
KTR, along with other ministers Sabitha Indra Reddy, Srinivas Goud and Indrakaran Reddy, visited the RGUKT campus on Monday and interacted with the students who have been agitating for three months demanding better facilities in the campus.
Addressing the students, KTR said that he had liked the way that they had agitated, in a non-violent manner on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi's satyagraha, and without involving political parties in their matters.
"Everyone has a right to express their resentment. Due to Covid-19, the education system was ruined. It is easy to construct a building but difficult to maintain facilities in all the buildings all the time. The students have brought the problems to my notice. I will definitely resolve all the problems in a specified period. I will visit the campus again in November and distribute tabs to all the students. Meanwhile, you will witness the changes in the campus," KTR said.
He promised that all the problems would be resolved and the facilities improved in the days to come.
