KTR Urges Indian Diaspora In London To Invest In Telangana
During his visit to London, IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao appealed to the NRIs in the UK to explore the possibility of investments in the State.

IT and Industries Minister K T Rama Rao appealed to the Non-Resident Indians in the UK to explore the possibility of investments in various sectors in the State and take part in the progress of Telangana.
Addressing the the Indian diaspora at a "Meet and Greet" event in London today, the minister highlighted the achievements of the Telangana government in the past eight years.
KTR said that the Indian diaspora had supported the Telangana movement and promoted Telangana wherever they were in the world, and thanked them for their continued support.
He said that the Telangana delegation had had fruitful meetings with the heads of various companies during the visit. "We will establish deeper connections with the UK in the days to come," he said.
The minister also spoke elaborately of the State's economic might. "Telangana is the 11th largest State geographically and 12th largest as per population in India, but according to the RBI, Telangana is today the 4th largest contributor to India's economic growth. The world's largest Amazon campus is situated in Hyderabad. And Google, Facebook, Micron, Apple, Qualcomm, Uber, Salesforce and Novartis - the second largest campuses of all these companies are in Hyderabad," he said.
"However, if you are thinking of setting up your company offices in Telangana, I urge you to think of tier II towns and not just Hyderabad," KTR added.
He mentioned that the Telangana government had already inaugurated IT towers in Khammam and Karimnagar, and would soon inaugurate IT towers in Mahabubnagar and Nizamabad. He added that there was already a great presence of the IT sector in Warangal.
"Let us all set aside our differences and come together to work for the progress of India and Telangana," KTR said in his closing remarks.
