Speaking on the occasion, KTR said that the government wished to develop the IT sector in the State, and would itself would take care of the infrastructure for that.
"The future lies in Tier 2 cities. The government has plans to develop Tier 2 cities like Warangal, Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar and Khammam as IT hubs. This will ensure not only that the IT companies come and invest, but also that more employment is generated for the youth in the State," he said.
KTR said that he had met C P Gurnani, CEO and MD of Tech Mahindra, and B V R Mohan Reddy, Founder and Executive Chairman of Cyient, in 2018 in the World Economics Forum, and had requested them to set up their companies in Warangal where they would have all facilities they needed.
