Telangana Information Technology Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday announced that the State Government would establish a Technology Development Bank.
Speaking to media persons after inaugurating India Gadget Expo 2014 at Hitex, KTR said that a comprehensive plan was being worked out to further develop Hyderabad on the technology front.
He stressed the need to promote both the software and hardware industries, and said that Hyderabad had the potential to emerge as a hub for electronics manufacturing, too, and that the skills and clusters would be created to achieve the goal.
The minister informed that a new IT policy, covering both hardware and software, would be announced in the next 6 months.
KTR admitted that Telangana was facing a severe energy crisis. However, he said that the government would soon resolve the crisis, and that Telangana would become an energy surplus State within 3 years. (INN)
