The Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday boycotted the Telangana Congress Legislature Party meeting while raising a banner of revolt against the TPCC President Ponnala Lakshmaiah.
While all 21 MLAs and 19 MLCs of the Telangana Congress took part in the meeting, Komatireddy walked out of the meeting and blamed Ponnala and other leaders of the Congress for the party's debacle in the recent elections.
He said that it was shameful that the meeting of elected legislators was being chaired by a person who had himself lost the elections.
He accused Ponnala and a few other leaders of being selfish, leading to the party's defeat.
He expressed regret that Ponnala had neither introspected the reasons for the party's failure nor had he offered his resignation. (INN)
