Komatireddy Threatens Contempt Of Court Case
Congress MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy warned of a contempt of court petition if the state government failed to restore his membership of the Assembly by this evening.
Congress leader and Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today warned that he would file a contempt of court petition on June 6 if the state government failed to restore his membership of the Assembly by this evening.
He also launched a general broadside against Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Komatireddy charged KCR with discriminating against constituencies other than Siddipet and Sircilla.
"KCR has allotted huge funds to his constituency and is discriminating against Nalgonda. For example, medical colleges have been allotted to Nalgonda and Suryapet districts, but the government has alloted far higher funds to the Siddipet medical college than to the Nalgonda college," he claimed.
"The government alloted funds to the Kaleswaram project but there are no funds for the SLBC project. The government also gave an order worth Rs 250 crore for Sircilla saris ignoring other regions in the state. And it also extends ex-gratia to bereaved families differently if they are from Nalgonda," he lamented. "Is KCR the Chief Minister of only Siddipet and Sircilla?"
Komatireddy also alleged that the Chief Minister was harassing him because he had questioned the Mission Bhagiratha scheme.
