Surely Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy must have had the recent hike in petrol prices at the back of his mind when he, on Sunday, called upon all sections of people to take to regular walking to prevent stress, and keep diseases at bay.
Talking to media persons after participating as the Chief Guest in a get-together organized by Kasu Brahmananda Reddy National Park Walkers Association at Cyber Gardens at Madhapur, the Chief Minister shared his experiences of walking with the association members.
It may be mentioned here that Kiran Kumar Reddy's opponents, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu and Kadapa leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, had launched stirs against the high prices of essential commodities just a day ago.
Kiran Kumar said he stopped coming to the park for walking after become the Chief Minister due to security reasons.
Association members submitted a memorandum to redress problems in the park.
He directed the forest department officials to take steps to improve the pathway for walkers without disturbing the environs and beauty of the park.
Senior citizens Dr. Ramanaidu, Raghava, ACB Joint Director Ramesh Reddy and others felicitated the Chief Minister.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the certificates and trophies to winners in the various competitions conducted in different categories. Labour Welfare Minister Danam Nagender, State Cultural Council Chairman Ramanamurthy and association members were present.
