Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was welcomed by his Telangana counterpart at the Ayutha Maha Chandi Yagam at Erravalli on the last day of the event.
Naidu came to the site along with Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy, minister Ganta Srinivas Rao and Union minister Sujana Chowdhary, and participated in the homam and pujas.
KCR took Naidu and his team, clad in yellow shawls, to the yagasala, and they made rounds of the homam pit offering obeisance. Naidu offered yagam material brought from the Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada.
Even as the rituals were continuing, both the Chief Ministers were seen talking about the yagam and its prominence. KCR prostrated at the yaga kundam at Purnahuthi time, and Naidu followed suit.
KCR had draped himself in a marigold dress that was reportedly sent by Sringeri pontiff Bharathi Tirtha Swamy.
KCR presented a silver Chandi Matha idol to Naidu on the occasion.
