KCR Showers Gifts Worth Rs 100 Crore On Huzurnagar

Thanking the people of the Huzurnagar Assembly constituency for the resounding victory they gave the TRS candidate Saidi Reddy in the recent by-election, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao today showered a number of gifts on them, amounting to Rs 100 crore.

Addressing a huge gathering in Huzurnagar, the Chief Minister said that the people deserved special treatment for the support they extended the TRS. He then went on to announce a Rs 25 crore special grant for the development of the Huzurnagar municipality, Rs 15 crore for the Nereduchala municipality, and Rs 30 lakhs for each mandal and Rs 20 lakh for each panchayat in the constituency, from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund.

He also announced the creation of a revenue division with Huzurnagar as its headquarters.

He advised the people to utilize the funds wisely in consultation with their MLA.

The Chief Minister also said that a Banjara Bhavan would be constructed at Huzurnagar, and that a residential school would be started for the girijans of the area.

Rao said that though he could not visit Huzurnagar for electioneering, the people had elected the TRS candidate by a 40,000+ majority, and that would inspire the TRS government to work for the people with even more dedication.

"This was not an ordinary victory. The other parties levelled many allegations and charges, and raised many doubts about us. But you, the voters, sifted through all of that and chose your MLA with a strong majority," he said.

KCR further promised that from now on he would focus on bringing the Godavari river water to the Nagarjunasgar Left Canal to ensure irrigation to the entire possible ayacut in the constituency and in the erstwhile Nalgonda district.

"This must be done and will be done," he said.

He also said that he would be touring the area from Nagarjunsagar to Huzurnagar shortly.
